The Right Boots for the Autumn and Winter Seasons

Boots have always been synonymous with style and fashion. Whatever outfit a woman is wearing, a pair of the right boots will somehow make the attire look more appealing. This autumn and winter seasons, Macy’s has hundreds of different styles of womens boots to go great with any outfit that you put together to fight the cold weather. High heeled boots are especially in, but any heel height would do as long as the toes are sharp. There happens to be a leaning towards the retro style as evidenced by the popularity of wedgies. Platform boots are still popular with a maximum platform height of 4 cm.

In terms of design, it’s better to be simpler. Fancy accessories in boots are no longer in fashion but straps are still stylish. The same goes with geometric, abstract, and animal prints. More emphasis is somehow given on the material. This season, velvet, suede, silk, natural and artificial leather are the way to go as well as snake, crocodile, and lizard skin. Fur is also a good choice for material. The combination of colors, for instance the toes having a different color than the rest of the shoe, is still chic. We’ll also be seeing a combination of textures like for example suede and leather.

Another trend in autumn and winter boots this season is lacing. It looks very sexy and unique. Designers will be using this trend more frequently in boots. Ankle boots made of laces will be in fashion. As for colors, get ready to see metallic colors like silver, gold, copper, etc. on the runway and in stores. But the usual colors like black, brown, burgundy, camel, gray, blue and green are still very much in.
